riders

Welcome to the annual 80 mile ride from Caffe Velo Verde, Car Colston to The Royal Hotel in Skegness.

It’s an incredibly scenic route. If you’re new to our ride, here’s a list of what to expect.

Initially, although we award the fastest time Trophies for Male and Female riders, this is not a race.

6.00am – Arrive at Caffe Velo Verde for registration

6.15am – Check over your bike and preparation for the ride

6.30am – A 15 minute warm-up with the one and only Phil Coker of Impact Fitness

6.45am – Safety briefing with Kevin Bryant

7.00am – Ride start (this will be prompt)

1.00pm/2.00pm/3.00pm hot and cold buffet refreshed

3.00pm Mayor Medal presentation and Charity talk

5.00pm Bikes returned to start point on vans these will be protected by cardboard and bubblewrap.

6.00pm Bus back to Caffe Velo Verde.

We’ll have several support cars following the same route, all carrying bike pumps, inner tubes and repair kits. They will also have snacks, water and drinks to replenish your own supplies.

At the finish line, you’ll be greeted by one of the organisers who will give you your time and then you can head off to enjoy the buffet and a drink.

We have a couple of shower rooms allocated too, so you can freshen up.

Enjoy the gardens and relax with friends and family before heading back.

Charity update

This year, we’re proud to support
‘The Nottinghamshire Hospice’

Who believe everyone in Nottinghamshire should have a good death. For them and their loved ones our palliative, end of life care, and support will be a beacon of hope in fulfilling their rights.

Coach back from Skegness

Every year we like to ensure people can get home with the minimum of effort. It means you can relax or even take a little power nap (like Kev Bryant) the Chopper Kid.

Training schedule

80 miles is no walk in the park, but the sense of achievement is amazing.

You’ll be supported by the most excitable support vehicles, all carrying snacks and drinks and making sure you are comfortable on your epic charity journey.

You’ll still need to get some practice rides in and now is the time to start.

Download maps and GPX

From the buttons below, you'll be able to download our preferred app to and also a gpx of the route to use on your digital devices such as Garmin to direct you while riding. If you already have an app installed, just click the GPX ROUTE DOWNLOAD button. Download or use your preferred route app (strava, bikegpx, komoot, etc).

Download should automatically start when clicked. If not, click the text link in the page.
Some computers may need you to manually unzip the file before adding to a device.

GPX is compatible with most cycling devices.

Please refer to manufacturers instructions or website to upload to your specific device.

This year, we rode in support of Bowel Cancer UK

We’re riding in memory of our Linney colleague Phil Crumpton.
Bowel cancer starts in the large bowel. It can also be called colorectal cancer.
The earlier bowel cancer is spotted, the more treatable it’s likely to be.

Medal Ceremony

This is the highlight of the day.

A medal presentation ceremony hosted by the Mayor of Skegness including a professional photographer snapping those proud moments.

This is not a race, but we do award trophies for the fastest Male and Female riders.

Warm up with the best

Fitness with a smile!

Impact Fitness help us warm up before the ride with a loud and proud invigorating workout session.

Phil Coker of Impact Fitness has been a proud rider and supporter of the event for over a decade.
